Bellerbys College Oxford is an outstanding international school that specialises in the teaching of Arts, Humanities and Law subjects. Our students come from all over the world. They’re aged between 13 and 19. We help them progress onto degree programmes at the most prestigious universities in the UK and abroad.

Located in the heart of Oxford, Bellerbys Oxford is a very special place to study. Not only is the city very beautiful, it’s also one of the oldest places of learning in the world. Oxford University is regularly ranked in the top five universities in the world. It dates back to 1069, making it the oldest known university in the English-speaking world.

This historic city is passionate about learning. It’s a very inspirational place for students of all ages, no matter what their academic interests. The University of Oxford has educated some of the greatest minds in history – 50 Nobel Prize winners, 26 UK Prime Ministers, 30+ international leaders and 120 Olympic medal winners. When you visit, you really feel a sense of these achievements. This is very motivating for the students here at Bellerbys Oxford – and for the teaching staff too. They are also excited to be a part of the academic community of one of the world’s most inspiring university cities.

Students here enjoy specialist teaching at our study centre, which shares their passion for the Arts, Humanities and Law.

The Principal of Bellerbys College Oxford, Charles Runacres, explains a bit about the specialisms of the College, and why our tailored teaching programmes are so helpful to international students looking to succeed in further study and a career they love.

What can you study at Bellerbys Oxford?

Across the specialisms of Arts, Humanities and Law, we offer a wide selection of academic pathways for students aged 13 to 19.

GCSE programme – this one-year programme lets you choose from a wide variety of core subjects required to progress to A Level study in the UK.

A Levels – students can choose two A Level subjects along with the core A Level subjects of Maths and English. This ensures they have the qualifications they need to get a place on an Arts, Humanities or Law degree course at one of the country’s top universities or business schools. A Level courses typically take between 5 and 6 terms to complete.

Foundation courses – these are courses designed to help international students adapt from learning overseas to getting the qualifications they need to get into British universities.

They combine academic subjects relevant to your chosen degree, and they give you specialist training in British study methods. This helps you get used to British teaching and university note taking. It also gives you tips for self-motivation and time management. Intensive English language tuition forms part of our Foundation Courses. This is to make sure all of our students leave with the IELTS scores and English language confidence it takes to cope at British university level.

Students at Bellerbys Oxford can choose from five Foundation Course pathways:

  • Art and Design
  • Business, Finance and Management
  • Humanities
  • Law
  • Media
