Readings and performances from students formed part of the ceremony on 11th November.
Students and staff at Bellerbys College Brighton marked Remembrance Day with readings and musical recitals on Wednesday, 11th November.
Principal Simon Mower spoke at the ceremony as part of an international observation to remember all those lost in conflict since the beginning of the First World War.
Year 9 student Zhansha Yedelgaliyev read ‘In Flanders Field’ by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae followed by Alice Nguyen reading ‘For the Fallen’ by Robert Binyon. Alice is a year 13 student and plays an active role in the College as President of the Student Union.
The traditional Last Post was performed on the French Horn by James Pitman, Managing Director, Higher Education UK and Europe, followed by a two-minute silence at 11am.
Concluding the ceremony was a wonderful rendition of Amazing Grace sung by KONG Huiwoon (Gwen) and Ttai Morra, accompanied on the guitar by Jason Huang and Matt Wilson.
